Project Management - Electrical Construction

Job Description

The Director of Project Management holds the ultimate responsibility for the financial success of projects. The Director of Project Management is responsible for the daily operations of the project management team including managing budgets, adherence to schedules, client communications, and contract review, as well as developing strong positive relationships with employees, vendors, and business partners. The Director of Project Management works in tandem with the Manager of Field Operations to ensure safe and successful jobsite teams and project completion.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report directly to the President and collaborate with multiple departments as well as the Executive Leadership Team. This position is the communication liaison between Leadership and the Project Management team members.

  • Provide management of, and mentorship for, Project Management team members and the associated Administrative Assistants

  • Share working knowledge of the construction industry to elevate project management, closeout and overall employee understanding of our industry.

  • Adhere to company processes and play an active role in developing strategies related to process improvements for efficiency and profit, as well as cost reductions.

  • Participate in hiring, training, discipline, termination, and performance appraisals for all Project Managers and associated Administrative Assistants

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or related work experience

  • Managing Construction Teams: 10 years

  • Commercial construction: 10 years

  • PMP (Required)

  • OSHA 30 (can be obtained within 60 days of hire)
